Article (6) Membership and Conditions:
Granting honorary membership: The administrative body has the right to grant honorary membership when conditions are met by the member serving the association’s directions. He was a foreign sports psychologist, a former international player, or an academic personality, provided that his presence enriches the association and does not cost it financial burdens.
Article (6) stipulates the method of subscription and obtaining membership:
First: Membership is accepted for individuals, institutions, scientific and research groups, as follows:
a. Membership conditions are available for individuals who have obtained a doctorate or master’s degree in the field of sports psychology and who practice the specialization in official or private institutions. Preferably those who have published scientific products in authorship and translation (published or accepted for publication).
B. Whoever was a graduate of an Arab or foreign sports institute or college, or in different language branches in other recognized foreign universities, and distinguished researchers and innovators in the field of specialization may be exempted from the condition of obtaining an initial university degree by a decision of the association’s administrative board.
C. He agrees to the bylaws of the association, writes it down, and fills out the affiliation application form.
D. The affiliation allowance of fifty thousand Iraqi dinars or forty dollars or its equivalent in local currencies of Arab countries, and the annual subscription renewal allowance of twenty-five thousand Iraqi dinars for each year or twenty dollars or the equivalent in local currencies of Arab countries.
E. Membership conditions are available for governmental and private scientific and research institutions and groups that exercise the relevant competence or specializations, agree to the rules of procedure and fill out the affiliation application form.
Second: Affiliation requests are presented to the administrative board at its first meeting, and the majority decides to accept or reject the request with mentioning the compelling reasons in case of rejection. Those whose affiliation with the association is decided to be rejected may object to that at the general assembly in its first meeting after the rejection, and its decision is final. Article (7) stipulates how the membership status lapses:
1. Loss of one of the membership conditions by a decision of the administrative board by a majority of its members.
2. Failure to pay the subscription for two consecutive years.
3. Resignation, death or dismissal by a decision taken by the administrative board by a majority of its members when the member commits a violation of the provisions of the relevant laws or the provisions of this bylaw, or performs actions that obstruct the work of the association.
4. A member may appeal the decision to the General Assembly at its first meeting, and its decision is considered final. The appeal shall be made within 30 thirty days from the date of notification of the decision, and it shall be registered in the incoming register of the association and kept in its personal file, and presented to the general assembly when it meets.
